Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms for bookings on Shalaya
1. Regular Classes
Default policy: free cancellation up to 12 hours before the class.
- If the yogi cancels 12 hours or more before the class start time: full refund or booking credit.
- If the yogi cancels less than 12 hours before the class: no refund, unless the yoga professional decides otherwise.
- If the yogi does not show up: no refund.
2. Masterclasses
Default policy: free cancellation up to 72 hours before the masterclass.
- If the yogi cancels 72 hours or more before the masterclass start time: full refund or booking credit.
- If the yogi cancels less than 72 hours before the masterclass: no refund, unless the host decides otherwise.
- If the yogi does not show up: no refund.
3. Retreats and Yoga Teacher Trainings
Organizer-defined cancellation policy, clearly visible before booking.
- Each retreat or YTT organizer defines their own cancellation terms.
- The applicable cancellation policy must be displayed clearly on the listing and at checkout before booking.
4. If the Yoga Professional Cancels
If a teacher, studio, retreat host or training organizer cancels:
- The yogi receives a full refund or equivalent booking credit.
- Shalaya does not keep the platform fee on a cancelled booking unless clearly stated and legally validated.
- The yoga professional may be responsible for any penalties, refund obligations or repeated cancellation consequences.
- Shalaya may suspend or review professionals who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings.
